My makeup/skincare compulsion started after my daughter was born. Having a baby is an incredibly beautiful thing, but I felt the farthest from beautiful. One morning I was feeling super low, exhausted beyond belief, and I knew I needed to do something to feel better, even if for a few minutes. On a whim I decided to put on a bold lip. I wish I remembered which shade it was because it was such a cathartic moment for me. The confidence you exude. The feeling like you can literally take over the world. One swipe of color is all it takes. I knew then I had to channel my passion into some sort of creative outlet.

Three years later, and a blog is born!

A little bit more about me: I'm based in South Florida, but I try and do as much traveling as humanly possible. My baby girl is four and she's so much fun. Every day is such an adventure. I make & sell homemade soy candles (shameless plug). You can buy them at www.palmtrees80degrees.com. 

I've got oily skin and I'm acne prone with hyperpigmentation from acne scarring (lucky me), so I'm constantly on the lookout for products to combat these concerns. If you've got a routine that works for you PLEASE let a girl in on your secrets 👀.
