Welcome to the third edition of Five Minute Makeup ✨.

I have a ton to accomplish today, so I got up earlier than usual. I am also having a pretty good skin day, so I decided it was a good day to do a minimal makeup routine.

SUNSCREEN FIRST, ALWAYS. I've currently been into Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30 ($18.99 for 3 fl oz), which provides the hydration that my skin craves while also protecting me against the sun/. And it doesn't leave a white cast. An automatic yes in my book.

As I was doing an inventory on my absurdly large makeup collection, I came across a tube of Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer Illuminating with SPF 20 ($46 for 1.7 fl oz) that I had never used 🤦🏾‍♀️. I don't even know where I bought it, because it's not on my Sephora past purchases list. I have the darkest shade in the range (shocker) called Bronze Radiance and it's slightly lighter than I would like, but once I added a little bit of concealer to cover some more visible hyperpigmentation, my tone evened out a little bit nicer. It's hard for me to not compare this to my Holy Grail, LOML, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue ($30 for 1.18 fl oz)*. Laura Mercier has a little less coverage, and the formula is a little more watery than Complexion Rescue. Plus, LM only has five shades to choose from, which is a little weak.

*Complexion Rescue just quietly expanded their shade range (by THREE SHADES, MIND YOU), but it looks like now I have a closer match in their range.

I used the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer ($26 for 0.17 oz) because it's the only concealer I reach for these days. Peep the full review of the concealer on the blog!

I added a little highlight on the high points of my face with Glossier's Haloscope in Moonstone ($22 for 0.19 oz), to add to the glazed donut look.

Final touch is always lip balm, and today I decided on Glossier's Balm Dot Com in Original ($12 for 0.5 fl oz). I haven't been using these as much as I used to, mainly because Bite Beauty has my heart and I walk around with their Lip Masks ($26 for 0.52 oz) in my purse, and there's always one on my nightstand and my vanity.

And that's it! Five minutes and out the door 🏃🏾‍♀️. Hope you enjoyed this!
